AQ Car Rentals: Terms and Conditions

1. PAYMENT & RENTAL PERIOD

Rental Period: Rentals operate on a strict 24-hour basis.

Payments: All rental payments must be made in advance. Non-rental charges are invoiced separately and are due upon receipt via email.

Outstanding Debts: Late payments will incur the following penalties:

10–20 days overdue: 20% fine.

21–30 days overdue: 30% fine.

Beyond 30 days: 50% fine.

AQ Car Rentals reserves the right to pursue legal action for non-compliance.

Contract Extension: Extensions made during the active contract remain at the original rate. Extensions made after expiry will incur a surcharge.

2. VEHICLE CHECK-OUT & CHECK-IN

Inspection: The Hirer must verify and sign the inspection report at both start and end of the rental.

Damage Charges: Dents and scratches are charged based on severity. Interior stains or pet hair will result in a cleaning fee (AED 300 – AED 1000).

Smoking Policy: Smoking is strictly prohibited. Violators will be fined AED 250.

Fuel Policy: Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as received. Refuelling is charged at prevailing prices plus an AED 10 service fee.

3. INSURANCE & LIABILITY

Excess Fee: The Hirer is liable for damages up to the specified excess amount (currently AED 1,500) or the actual cost of damage, whichever is greater.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): If opted for, AQ Car Rentals waives the excess liability, provided no terms of this agreement were violated.

Voidance: Insurance is void if an unauthorized driver operates the vehicle or if damage is caused by prohibited use.

Personal Items: AQ Car Rentals is not liable for any items left in the vehicle.

4. TRAFFIC FINES & VIOLATIONS

Notification: AQ Car Rentals will notify customers of fines within 24 hours of receipt.

Payment: Customers should settle fines directly or request AQ Car Rentals to pay on their behalf for a service fee of AED 50 per fine.

Late Penalties: Fines not settled within 24 hours incur an AED 100/day charge. Unpaid fines after 3 days result in contract termination, vehicle retrieval, and further "inconvenience charges."

5. VEHICLE USE & RESTRICTIONS

The vehicle shall NOT be used for:

Illegal purposes or carrying hazardous substances.

Propelling or towing other vehicles/trailers.

Racing, speed testing, or driving tuition.

Carrying more passengers than the vehicle's design capacity.

AQ Car Rentals strictly prohibits drivers under the age of 21 or those under the influence of alcohol/drugs.

6. SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE

Hirer Responsibility: The Hirer must ensure the vehicle is brought in for service according to the "Service Due" sticker. Failure to do so may result in engine damage charges.

Repairs: All repairs must be conducted at AQ Car Rentals authorized workshops. Unauthorized repairs will make the Hirer fully liable for all costs.

Tires: The Hirer is responsible for flat tires and any damage caused by driving on a flat tire/rim.

7. TERMINATION

AQ Car Rentals reserves the right to terminate the agreement and repossess the vehicle immediately (without refund) if:

Payments are overdue.

Any terms of this agreement are breached.

The Hirer fails to respond to communications for two consecutive days.

8. DEPOSIT OPTIONS

Refundable Deposit: Returned via bank transfer (incurs a 20 AED processing fee).

Non-Refundable Deposit Insurance: A one-time fee per contract period; must be repurchased if the contract is extended.
